PixFit / Privacy Policy
PixFit Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1 November 2026 · Version: 1.0
This policy explains how the PixFit app ("PixFit", "we", "us") handles information. PixFit is published by Provantic Technologies Private Limited, Prestige Atlanta, Koramangala, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560034, India (the "Publisher"). If you have a question, write to provantict@gmail.com.
The short version
- Your photos, signatures and files are processed only on your phone. We never upload them. We have no servers.
- You don't create an account. We don't ask for your name, phone number, email or location.
- Adults can choose to allow ads from Google AdMob, which keep the app free. If you allow them, Google's ad software collects some device information, described below. You can say no, or switch ads off later in Settings — every feature still works.
- Users under 18 never see ads, and PixFit never initialises the ad software for them.
- You can delete everything the app stored at any time with Settings → Delete all my data, or by uninstalling the app.
1. What stays on your phone
| Information | Why | Where it is kept | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Photos, signatures, thumb impressions or documents you choose, take or draw | To resize, crop, compress and format them — the app's only purpose | In the app's private storage on your phone while you edit | The copy Android hands to the app is deleted as soon as it is read; temporary working files are deleted the next time the app starts and by "Delete all my data" |
| Files you export | So you can share or save them again from the Files tab | App-private storage on your phone (other apps cannot read it) | Until you delete them, use "Delete all my data", or uninstall. The app keeps at most the 60 most recent |
| Export list (file title, size, pixel size, date) | To show the Files tab | App-private storage | Same as above |
| Your age group: under 13, 13–17, or 18 and over (not your birth year) | To protect minors (no ads for under-18s) | App-private storage | Until you use "Delete all my data" or uninstall |
| Settings (whether you allowed ads, ad personalisation choice, whether you finished onboarding, ad timing counters, and when a Premium pass you earned by watching an ad ends) | To remember your choices | App-private storage | Same as above |
None of this is sent to us. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it for you if you delete it.
No cloud backup. PixFit switches off Android's automatic backup and device-to-device transfer for its data, so your photos are not copied to Google Drive or to another phone through the app.
Metadata removed. When you export a file, PixFit removes hidden information stored inside photos (EXIF), including GPS location and camera details.
Copies you save to your gallery, or share with other apps, are outside the app. They are controlled by you and by the app you share them with.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, precise or approximate location, files outside what you choose, microphone or camera access (pictures are taken through your phone's own camera app), or any account information. PixFit requests no storage or media permission on Android 11 and newer (on Android 10 and older it may ask for storage access only to save a file to your gallery); it uses Android's system photo picker, which gives the app only the photos you select.
3. Services provided by Google
PixFit uses software development kits (SDKs) from Google. These SDKs act under Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. How Google uses information from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Google AdMob (advertising) and Google User Messaging Platform (consent)
This applies only if you are 18 or older and choose "Allow ads" when the app asks (with an itemised notice). If you choose "Continue without ads", or you are under 18, PixFit never initialises the Google Mobile Ads SDK and never requests an ad, and the SDK's built-in app measurement is configured to wait for that initialisation. The ad library's code is part of the app for everyone, but for you it stays idle.
To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google:
- Device and other identifiers — the Android advertising ID and app set ID
- IP address, used to estimate your general location (city or region)
- App interactions — for example app launches, ad views and taps
- Diagnostic information — for example app and SDK performance
Google encrypts this data in transit. Ads may be personalised (based on your interests) or non-personalised (based on general context such as the app and your rough location).
Your choices:
- Settings → Ads & data → Show ads switches ads off completely at any time; from then on no ads are requested, and from the next app start the ad software is not initialised.
- Settings → Personalised ads turns personalised ads off. Non-personalised ads are still shown.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or a region where Google shows a consent message, you will see Google's consent form on first launch. Change your choice any time at Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. After deletion, apps cannot use it for ads.
Ad formats: native ads inside the Home, Files and result screens; a full-screen ad after some exports; a full-screen ad on a PixFit welcome screen when you return to the app from another app (never when you come back from the photo picker, camera, share sheet or an ad, and never over a screen you are editing); and rewarded ads you choose to watch to unlock Premium extras (HD export, PDF, print sheet without the PixFit mark) for 20 minutes. Rewarded ads are always optional and the reward is described before you choose to watch.
Users under 18: no ads are shown and the ad software is never initialised. Premium extras are free for them.
Google ML Kit (on-device face detection and background removal)
Face detection and background removal run entirely on your phone using models built into the app; your photos are never sent to Google. To keep ML Kit working, Google receives limited technical information: device model and operating system, the app's package name and version, a per-installation identifier that does not identify you, performance and error data, and the feature's settings. Google uses this for diagnostics and usage analytics and does not share it with third parties.
4. How we use information
We use the information above only to: provide the app's features on your phone; show ads and respect your ad choices; and protect minors. PixFit sells nothing and has no payments. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not build profiles of you.
5. Children
PixFit is meant for a general audience aged 13 and over. On first launch we ask your year of birth through a neutral question and keep only your age group. Indian law treats everyone under 18 as a child, so for anyone under 18 PixFit shows no ads, never initialises the ad software, unlocks Premium extras for free, and processes their photos only on the phone. The only data that leaves the phone for these users is ML Kit's anonymous technical diagnostics described in section 3. If you are a parent or guardian with a concern, contact us — and note that "Delete all my data" removes everything the app stored on that phone.
6. Your rights
Everyone. Because your photos and files stay on your phone, you already control them. You can view them in the Files tab and delete them one by one, delete everything with Settings → Delete all my data, or uninstall the app. You can also contact us with any question or complaint.
India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). You may ask about the processing of your personal data, ask for correction or erasure, withdraw consent as easily as you gave it (one switch: Settings → Ads & data → Show ads), nominate another person to exercise your rights, and raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (section 10). If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
EEA, UK and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR). You may access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time through Settings → Ad privacy choices. Personalised advertising is based on your consent. You may complain to your local data protection authority. Google acts as an independent controller for the advertising data its SDK collects.
United States (including California, CCPA/CPRA, and other state laws). We do not sell personal information for money. Showing personalised ads may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under some state laws. To opt out, turn off Settings → Personalised ads; where Google shows a US state privacy message, you can also use Settings → Ad privacy choices. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights.
To exercise a right that involves Google's data, use the Google choices in section 3 or visit https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy. We will help if you contact us.
7. Where data is processed
Your photos and files never leave your phone through PixFit. Google may process the advertising and diagnostic data described in section 3 in India or other countries, under Google's privacy safeguards.
8. Security
Your files are stored in Android's app-private storage, which other apps cannot access, and are removed when you uninstall. Google's SDKs encrypt the data they send. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but because we hold no copy of your data, there is no PixFit database that could be breached. If we ever learn of a security incident affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date and show the new version in the app and on our website. If a change affects how your personal data is used, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
